Vence — At Six Shooter Ranch, we are most excited about our partnership with Vence, a company focused on delivering virtual fencing technology for livestock management. Vence’s satellite-controlled collars track each animal’s location and nearness to set boundaries. This cutting-edge technology allows us to efficiently move our cattle around the ranch while sustainably grazing and protecting areas that might otherwise be compromised by the presence of our herd. April 2022 marks our second season using Vence’s technology. We continually collaborate with Vence to offer feedback on how to make the equipment and interface more effective, efficient and user-friendly. We are excited to share our experience with others. Six Shooter is partnering with Jim Gerrish of American Grazing Lands.With Jim’s expertise and analysis, we at Six Shooter will gain a better understanding of our rangeland. Jim’s insights will allow us to focus our efforts on the most meaningful improvements to our property.
